Silk Fashion - Design Studio has a complete service system to develop your garment or clothing collection idea up to and including production. We help at all stages, or only where you need help. Our 4 step plan simplifies the way to our own clothing line or clothing collection for the webshop, retail, catering and sports clubs.
Clothing sampling
The sample of clothing is done before the production stage. In the 4 step process of Silk Fashion, sampling is part of step 3. The third step after the design (step 1) and making the pattern (step 2).
The garment sample, fashion sample, clothing sample or test item is necessary for many reasons. Eventually they decide whether an article will become, as it is intended. A sample makes this immediately clear. In addition, a sample can be used to present a collection. Sales on pre-order is also possible as a result of which there is guaranteed sales after production. A sample therefore precedes a production.

Advice for clothing
Silk Fashion has a low threshold, the professional but also the inexperienced starter with their own idea can come to us. For example, we can advise on the use of fabrics and haberdashery. In our studio we have many fabric and haberdashery samples, from large and smaller suppliers. Thanks to our extensive knowledge of fabrics, advising which fabric fits best with your design or idea is no problem for us. If we produce a sample from your hand-drawn or digital pattern, we will always first assess it for errors and whether there are no further problems.
The file formation during clothing sampling
Sampling is important for file formation. Specifications and details can be an example before a production is started. Silk Fashion provides for file creation that can serve as accompanying production documents. In addition, it is possible to produce your sample with the Silk Fashion Sustainable Passport. In this Passport we record all parts of the article and name all these components in composition, producers, certification and residual value.
The next steps
When a sample has been made it can be ofcourse that it is not as it needs to be or new insights make that the pattern need to be changed or modifite. In this stage it is no problem. When production start everything need to be clear and finished in the designs and patterns. If there are definitive patterns and all files have been formed the clothing production will be started up. The clothing production is step 4 in the 4 step by step plan of Silk Fashion.
